No More Dr. Andrew...

Dear Faithful Readers,

You may have noticed the frequency of posts on this site has been dropping off lately. That's because my family and I are in the midst of a life change that involves a new city and new responsibilities. One consequence of that is that I no longer have the cycles to continue with To Love, Honor, and Dismay.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to make this a vibrant discussion forum. We certainly dove into some contentious issues, didn't we?

Many people have written to me saying I helped them, that they learned a lot from reading this site. Well that goes both ways. Interacting with you folks has enriched my life tremendously over the last eight months.

I'll check in from time to time to see what some of my online friends are up to. Keep writing and posting, everyone!

Be nice to one another -- you're all well worth it!

Sunday Note: Thank you to everyone who has left a comment with good wishes. My wife and I really appreciate the supportive sentiments. Hopefully someday I'll have the cycles to resume blogging and and I can look up every one of you and let you know. You're all very kind!

  1. That's to bad I enjoyed reading your views and insights.
I hope everything goes smoothly with your move and you can come back one day.

    Take care

  2. Andrew,

So sorry to see you have to pack it in (TLH&D). Real life responsibilities have to take precedence over blogging for everyone, though. Your willingness to help and wonderful advice have been a great asset to the blogging community. Your presence will definitely be missed. Best wishes to you and yours for happiness and prosperity. See you in the comments sections.

  3. oh doc -- tell me it's not so (now that's the selfish child in me)

but really, i'm happy for you -- this new adventure you-all have going on...

and in case i've not said this -- you've helped me greatly -- directly and indirectly...

    peace my blogger friend!!

  4. hello Andrew,

thank you so much for publishing this blog. it has been a life saver for me.

you have such great advice to give... and your delivery of this information is stellar. you say it in a way that can be understood.

i've seen myself many times in alot of your writers... and you've helped me find the strength to work through many of my own issues and start dealing with them.

    thank you for that.

also. thank you for leaving the comment on my blog in response to my silly questions...

you are one amazing person and i truly hope that you return to the blog and continue where you left off.

    with much thanks,

  5. Nikki1:16 PM

Good luck, Dr. Andrew. I enjoyed your blog very much and gained a lot of insight from you and the other readers. I hope at some point you may be able to return to blogging. Take care!

  6. Dr. Andrew, I am so disappointed! Your blog is a really great read. You have great insights and a brilliant, easy way of communicating thoughts. Best of luck to you on your new adventures.

  7. OH NO! I'm sorry to see you go but will always remember the great advice and wisdom you have given to us. I hope the new move goes well and stop in and update us when you can.

  8. Andrew,

I will certainly miss your blog with all its wisdom, compassion and humour. Thank you for so generously sharing your knowledge with the blog world. I know I, for one, have made some changes in how I interact with my spouse which have had ongoing positive effects in our life together. *Thank you*.

Wishing you all the very best with your new life.

  9. I will be sad to see you go. I like your advice and am hoping that this life change of your families means that you will continue to be helping others. I will miss the posts.

  10. Oh Andrew, NOOOOOO ! YOU WERE SO AWESOME !!!!!!

I wish you the very very best with your life change and the move to the new city and new responsibilities.

You are a kind, wise, giving man, and the world is a better place with you in it.

I spoke with Tom, and decied to continue with the homwork from my January seminar, which is is much the same direction. I just need to DO IT... Thank you for the emphasis on self-image. It was the right one...

Very very good wishes to you and your family, Andrew.
    Loving Annie

  11. I'm very sorry to hear that you won't be continuing, Andrew, but I guess that real life has to always take precedence. Good luck in your endeavors and thanks so much for your excellent site!

  12. The title of this entry is inaccurate. Dr. Andrew lives on even if the online advice ends.

I'm certainly very disappointed, but I can only imagine the amount of time and energy it takes to do this on top of your regular work and your responsibilities at home. I hope I continue to hear from you.

I wish you and your family well, and a heartfelt thank you for the help you've provided me and others.

Personally, most of the help I've received has been from reading about others.

    Take care,

  13. So sad to see you go. This blog meant a great deal to many. Best wishes on your move and God bless.

    Mimi Lenox

  14. I am so sad to see you go... but do sincerely wish the best for you and your family!

  16. Anonymous4:49 AM

    oh no!!!

you were more than helpful, andrew. you gave me a chance to check out other people's issues and that always gives you a different perspective on your own

  17. Good luck Andrew!

  18. Because life goes on, I wish you all the best. I don't remember how I came across your blog in the great blogosphere, but I remember that it helped to validate the way I was feeling--it's okay to be scared, angry, or discouraged sometimes--as my husband and I struggled to cope with his past addictions and current recovery. (Which,by the way, is coming along nicely.)

Thanks for your supportiveness. Hope your move goes well.

  19. Warmest wishes for the future Dr. Andrew. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and providing such an excellent blog - I wish I'd found it sooner!

  25. jacqui10:54 PM

Wow!! Somehow i never thought I'd see you leave this site, even if it was only temporary.

You know what you have done here so I don't need to remind you and surely you know that you will be missed not only for your advice but from your witty comments placed out there in the blogosphere.

However, I emphathize because I also have left, I think only temporarily, but you never know. It is time consuming!

I wish you and your family the best in your new place and that eventually, you will have time to come back...perhaps posting snippits of your promised book????? or were you just pulling our legs? LOL
